Breaching the German Dams 1st June 2018
St Lawrence Church 7.30 pm
Marking the 75th anniversary of the Dambusters Raid, the official historian of 617 squadron will recount the story of the event which changed the 2nd World War.
Entry free.
Retiring collection in aid of the St Lawrence Church Lighting Appeal.

Church Fete 2nd June 2018
Church Street, Effingham 11am - 3pm
The theme of the fete will be the Dambusters, marking the 75th anniversary of the Dambusters Raid, and honouring the memory of Barnes Wallis, the inventor of the bouncing bomb who is buried in St Lawrence churchyard.

Real ale bar, barbecue, tea and cakes, bouncy castle and lots more.
Come and join the fun!

An informal get-togther for parents/grandparents etc with small children on the first and third Tuesdays each month at St Lawrence and the second and fourth Tuesdays at All Saints.

'Connect' is a group for carers and partners living with dementia, meeting fortnightly from 10.00 to 12.00 noon for refreshments, friendship, chat and activities.

A delicious 'full English' breakfast is served after the 8am Holy Communion service on the second Sunday of each month. This makes a great start to the week, so don't miss it!

An informal get-togther for parents/grandparents etc with small children on the second and fourth Tuesdays each month from 10.30am to midday, and now also on the first and third Tuesdays at St Lawrence.

This is a 'Churches Together' initiative to provide after school activities and worship to primary school children accompanied by a parent or carer. It is a monthly event on the second Wednesday of each month.

Christian Meditation Group 14th June 2018
Methodist Church, Effingham 2.00 pm
For Christians, meditation provides a simple and powerful way of praying. It offers a practical tool to enable us to go beyond thoughts, words images and emotions and become more aware of the presence of God in the inner depths of our being.

A Christian meditation group meets fortnightly on Thursdays at 2.00 pm. All Meetings are held in the Methodist Church in Effingham.

The Friends of Little Bookham Church are pleased to bring you Ed Sutton (organ) with The Gibbons Ensemble presenting a Summer Musical Evening.
Light refreshments and a glass of wine will be served during the interval.
